My mustang ii (1974 v6) auto transmition acts weird lately. It has delayed engagement and after getting really hot it start to change gears too often no matter the way i drive it.Im thinking of changing the filter and the fluid as a first step.I have the Haynes manual but it does not show where the filter is located or the capacity of fluid in liters.Any help advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There should be a specifications and capacities section in the manual. It will tell how much fluid it takes. The filter is under the pan. It (the pan)is a square shape and has about 20 bolts holding it in place. The filter and the gasket must be replaced with new parts. The conversion to liters is 7.5708236
